Sculptra

Sculptra is a an FDA-approved unique biostimulator, poly-L lactic acid, that is used to restore and rebuild collagen over time. Sculptra itself signals to the body to produce collagen and provides subtle and natural regeneration of lost volume over time. Sculptra is recommended to be done in a series of three vials, each occurring 4-6 weeks apart, and results last up to two years. Maintenance is recommended once per year after the initial series. It also provides a skin radiance that HA fillers cannot create.

Most commonly treated areas:

Temples

Pre-aurical

Jawline

Nasolabial folds

Marionette lines

What to expect: At the time of your appointment, your injector will map out your face, take before pictures, inject a numbing agent, draw up Sculptra, and then inject Sculptra. You may leave your appointment with a similar result that you will begin to see in six weeks, due to the dilutant used with the Sculptra to inject. Your body will absorb this extra fluid in the next few days, which will return your face to a similar appearance as it was before your appointment. However, your body will begin to produce collagen and you will have noticible results in 4-6 weeks after initial treatment. Once you leave your appointment, you are expected to massage your face for five minutes, five times a day, for five days. This helps to evenly distribute and activate Sculptra.
