IMG_9090.jpg

Neuromodulators, or toxins, commonly known by their brand names, including Botox, Xeomin, Dysport, or Jeuveau, are FDA approved to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by relaxing the muscles of the face.

Most commonly treated areas:

Forehead

Between the eyes (also known as the “11’s”)

Crow’s feet

Brow Lift

Lip flip

Other areas include:

Downward turn of the mouth (Frown)

TMJ (Jaw slimming)

Chin dimpling

Gummy smile

Nasalis ("Bunny lines")

Hyperydrosis (Excessive armpit sweating)

Platysmal bands (Neck bands)

What to expect:

Based on the toxin used, results will appear between 3-7 days with full onset at two weeks. At the time of your appointment, your injector will map out your face, take before pictures, draw up the toxin, and then inject. You may leave your appointment with small bumps, that should subside within 20-60 minutes. It is recommended to avoid strenuous activity, hot tubs, saunas, tanning beds, and alcoholic beverages for 24 hours after your appointment to prevent toxin spread. Also, refrain from laying flat on your face for four hours after your appointment. You may wash your face and apply skincare the night of your appointment.
