PRP Scalp Injections

Scalp injections with platelet rich plasma (PRP) help to bring platelet PRP down past the hair follicle to use your own regenerative factors and growth factors to promote hair growth from below the folllicle. When used in conjuction with PRP, the hair follicle is then saturated with PRP from both above and below, promoting the best outcome for hair regrowth. In order to obtain your PRP, we preform a simple blood draw, place it in a centrifuge, and remove from the vial what we need: the liquid gold.

What to expect:

First, your scalp and hairline is cleaned and prepped. Clients have the option for injected numbing around the hairline, although most do not opt for this. The PRP is then injected into the scalp. The actual treatment takes about 10-15 minutes. Afterward, the treatment area may be tender two to three days. We request that you avoid washing your hair for 48 hours after the procedure for max absorption. Clients often bring a ball cap (or beanie in the winter) to wear out and around town after their procedure.
