What to expect

Consultation

Prior to your treatment appointment, you will meet with one of our providers to determine if you are a candidate for laser hair removal. Your provider will evaluate your skin type and discuss which areas you'd like to treat. You will learn your pretreatment protocol and any considerations leading up to your appointment.

Treatment

When you arrive for your laser hair removal appointment, your provider will clean the treatment area and place a cool gel on your skin. You will be provided protective eyewear to protect your eyes during the treatment. During the treatment, your provider will work in small sections and will pass the handpiece over the section for 1-3 minutes per section. The treatment itself varies based on the size of the area treated and the density of hair. Most clients find the process to be incredibly tolerable.

Aftercare

Your skin may be slightly red or flushed for a few hours after from the friction of the handpiece. While there is no expected downtime, it is important to avoid direct sun exposure for at least two weeks after. You are asked not to wax, tweeze, or use hair removal creams at any time during the treatment series, but you may shave. You will notice between days 5 and 10 after the treatment that shedding of the surface hair can occur as the hair shaft is being expelled from the skin.

Treatment Length

Our packages begin with six treatment sessions, and if you require more, we can discuss at that time. Sessions are scheduled every 4-6 weeks for hair above the collarbone, and every 6-8 weeks for hair below.
